neighbors? Have you ever wanted to be in the
emergency medical field? If so, we need EMRs and
EMTs. There are funding possibilities for EMT

Membership Info
Your paid membership is critical to helping Port Matilda EMS keep up with the rising costs of outfitting our ambulances with life-saving medical supplies and equipment, providing training for our dedicated personnel, and paying staff wages. COVID-19 has brought many challenges to our area and to our service as well. We want to always be available for you if you need emergency medical care.
Your continued support of Port Matilda EMS will allow us to provide the finest pre-hospital care and transportation during your medical emergency. Port Matilda currently faces challenges in reimbursement and in recruiting employees and volunteers. Your membership purchase is a significant part of our annual funding.
Your paid membership can also save you money, as it covers any co-payments and deductibles your insurance company may require you to pay.
Non-emergency ambulance transports must be ordered by a physician, and the member is responsible for charges not covered by insurance.
Members and non-members who are evaluated by ambulance personnel and refuse transport or do not require transport may be charged a refusal fee.

- Business memberships are $85 (covers 10 employees, and each additional 5 employees is $25). Employees are covered while on the clock and within the PMEMS coverage area.

Third-Party Billing
Third-party billing is a program that reimburses ambulance services. Your subscription assures that you will not be responsible for any additional bills for emergency services provided by PMEMS, regardless of your insurance coverage. Each time you use the ambulance, a bill is submitted to your insurance company. If your insurance company reimburses any portion of that bill, we accept it as payment in full. However, if you are not a member, you must pay any amount not covered by your insurance. Non-payment may result in litigation through the district magistrate. Insurance reimbursements made directly to the patient and not forwarded to PMEMS will void your membership, and PMEMS may initiate collection procedures.
